The AHA makes housing available
in two different ways: through housing that we own, and through
the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance program (formerly
known as "Section 8")..
Housing That We Own
The AHA owns, manages and maintains residences
throughout Ansonia. Some residences are concentrated to create
complete neighborhoods with community centers, gardens and recreational
areas. Some are more suited for families and others are more suited

HCV Rental Assistance Program
The HCV rental assistance program provides
rental subsidies to up to 647 low-income families who live in
privately-owned housing units throughout Ansonia, Shelton, and
